You want to be a complainant and file a formal complaint against a person who is licensed: Submitting a formal complaint means you want to be involved in the process, receive updates, and may be granted a right to appeal the outcome. You can track the status and progress of your complaint by submitting the complaint and then creating an account. RECA will only examine complaints that fall under its jurisdiction.
You don’t want to be a complainant. You want to be an informant or anonymous: This means you will not be considered a formal complainant and do not have any right to appeal should one exist. You cannot track the progress of your submission. If you submit your report anonymously, RECA cannot guarantee anonymity. The parties under investigation may speculate about who reported them based on the information discussed during the investigation process.
You must be logged out to submit an informal complaint.
